Multi-agent systems can coordinate around learner needs more effectively when learners actively participate in organizing their own learning—not just consuming content, but helping shape what agents do next.
This paper presents Agentic University, a system where multiple AI agents collaborate with learners to create personalized learning programs. The system connects learning goals, activities, and assessments while using learner feedback to adapt what comes next. Students using this approach showed significantly better learning gains and reported feeling better supported.
